Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed  party cadres outside his residence on Sunday while police waited there to arrest him for skipping indictment hearings in an Islamabad sessions court.

The Islamabad Police and Punjab Police personnel arrived at Imran’s residence to arrest him for his persistent absences from Toshakhana court hearings, The Dawn reported.

Addressing party loyalists, Imran Khan said, “Have never bowed before any man or institution, and will never let you do so as well.” The former prime minister accused government leaders have stashed their wealth overseas and were given legal protection by retired Army General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

The former PM is accused of concealing, in his assets declarations, details of the gifts he retained from the Toshakhana — a repository where presents handed to government officials from foreign officials are kept, The Dawn reported. According to reports, leaders are permitted to retain gifts if they pay a fraction of gift's value.

The Islamabad police tweeted, “Islamabad Police will transfer Imran Khan to Islamabad under their protection. Law is equal for all.”
