Senior batter Virat Kohli was reportedly missing as the Indian cricket team arrived in Thiruvananthapuram ahead of the ICC World Cup warm-up game against the Netherlands. According to reports, former captain Virat Kohli flew to Mumbai from Guwahati citing "personal emergency."

While the rest of the Indian team reached the Kerala capital on Sunday evening, Kohli is expected to arrive on Monday, reports said.

According to reports, the team management gave Kohli permission to travel, but it was not known what was the emergency that forced the star batter to fly to Mumbai.

While there was no official news about the development from BCCI, a media report quoted sources in the cricket body as saying that the former captain will join the team camp on Monday. "A source from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that he went to Mumbai for personal reasons. Virat will rejoin the team soon," a Cricbuzz report said.

Virat Kohli had played India's final ODIs against Australia in the recently-concluded series, scoring 56 runs.

The Men in Blue are slated to take on the Netherlands on Tuesday -- the final warm-up game for both sides ahead of the ICC ODI World Cup. While The Orange played their first warm-up game against Australia, India's contest with England was washed out without a single ball bowled.

"Team India will have an optional training session from 2 PM onwards at the KCA - St Xavier's College Cricket Ground, Thiruvananthapuram, weather permitting," the Cricbuzz story quoted the team's spokesman as saying.
