The International Cricket Council on Tuesday released the fixtures for the Men's Men's T20 World Cup 2021 that will commence on October 17. The world cup will be played in the UAE and Oman in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Interestingly, India's campaign will begin on a high note as its first match is against arch rivals Pakistan. The India-Pakistan face off, scheduled for October 24, Sunday, will commence the Group 2 contest.

Pakistan will then take on New Zealand in Sharjah on October 26, in a tough start for the 2009 champions. Afghanistan begin their campaign on October 25 at Sharjah, taking on the winners of Group B from the first round.
After Pakistan, India will play against New Zealand and Afghanistan, after which it will take on the second-placed Round 1 qualifier from Group A. The group matches will conclude on November 8.
The tournament will begin on October 17 with the Round 1 Group B encounter between hosts Oman and Papua New Guinea. This will be followed by Scotland and Bangladesh, the other teams in Group B, clashing in the evening match at 6 pm.
The first semi-final will be held in Abu Dhabi on November 10, while the second semi-final will be hosted by Dubai the next day. Both semi-finals have reserve days.
The marquee clash of the tournament will take place in Dubai on November 14, Sunday, with Monday acting as the reserve day for the final.
