As it had been in the past, OnePlus 6 is expected to go on sale post May 17. Indian users will get to buy OnePlus 6 exclusively on Amazon. The online retailer has already notified OnePlus 6 sale and the registration page has gone live on Amazon.
The OnePlus 6 launch dates have been anticipated since the past couple of months after the company hinted at various changes to the highly awaited new phone.
The following highlights make the new OnePlus 6 launch special:
1. A notch in its display: The next OnePlus flagship phone will have a notch in its display, the company head Carl Pei told The Verge. According to Pei, OnePlus sees it as adding more screen real estate instead of taking anything away. “What you are essentially doing is moving the entire notification bar up, giving users more content on their screen.”
2. Improved specs: The OnePlus 6 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, company CEO Pete Lau had confirmed in an earlier blogpost.
3. Avengers-themed edition: Similar to last year's Star Wars-edition of OnePlus 5T, this year the electronics major has confirmed that it's partnering with Marvel on an Avengers-themed edition of OnePlus 6. This edition will be exclusive for the Indian market.
