Commissioned Officer in the IAF: 317 vacancies

317 vacancies for the post of Commissioned Officer in the Indian Air Force (IAF) are now open. 

This is a great opportunity for both men and women to join the Flying and Ground Duty branches, including Technical and Non-Technical roles. 

The online application process will be open from 1st to 30th December. 

The admission process will be conducted through AFCAT (AFCAT-01/2024) and NCC Special Entry. Candidates must be single to be eligible for these positions.

To apply for the Flying Branch, candidates must be between 20 and 24 years of age, born between 2nd January 2001 and 1st January 2005 (both dates inclusive). 

For the Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical Branch), the age limit is 20 to 26, with candidates born between 2nd January 1999 and 1st January 2005 (both dates inclusive).

Selected candidates will undergo training in Hyderabad starting from January 2025. 

The training duration is 62 weeks for the Flying and Ground Duty Technical branches, and 52 weeks for the Ground Duty Non-Technical branch.

The salary for the position of Flying Officer ranges from Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500. 

During the training period, Flight cadets will receive a stipend of Rs. 56,100.

Interested applicants are required to pay an examination fee of Rs. 550 plus GST. However, there is no fee for NCC Special Entry applicants.

The Naval Dockyard Apprentices School under the Indian Navy is offering 275 trade apprentice vacancies in Visakhapatnam. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the trades.

Trades and Vacancies:  Electronics Mechanic (36), Fitter (33), Sheet Metal Worker (33), Carpenter (27), Mechanic-Diesel (23), Pipe Fitter (23), Electrician (21), Painter-General (16), R&AC Mechanic (15), Welder-Gas and Electric (15), Machinist (12), Instrument Mechanic (10), Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance (6), Foundryman (5).

Eligibility: Candidates must have completed 10th grade with 50% marks.

They should also possess an ITI (NCVT/SCVT) certificate in the relevant trade with 65% marks.

Age Limit: Applicants must be born on or before May 2, 2010.

Training Duration: The 1-year training program will begin in May.

Stipend: Selected candidates will receive a stipend ranging from 7700 to 8050.

Selection Process: The selection process consists of a written test, interview, and medical examination.
