Union Home Minister Amit Shah targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his 'vote theft' allegations and charged that the latter's campaign was aimed at "protecting infiltrators". Shah charged that the Congress leader wants infiltrators to enjoy the government's benefits.
Campaigning in Bihar, the Bharatiya Janata Party leader said the theme of Gandhi's yatra was not vote theft. "You (BJP workers) know what its aim was? It was to protect infiltrators from Bangladesh," Shah charged.
"Should the infiltrators have the right to vote in our country? Should they have access to all the benefits that the citizens enjoy?," asked the Union minister, dubbing Gandhi's Vote Adhikar Yatra as 'Ghuspaithiya Bachao Yatra'.
"Instead of our youth, this Rahul Baba and company are giving jobs to vote bank infiltrators," he said, targeting the Congress-led Opposition.

Shah alleged, "Rahul baba and company want the infiltrators, who are their vote bank, to be given jobs meant for our youths, pucca houses and free medical treatment we provide our citizens with."
He urged BJP workers to visit each house as part of the campaign for the Bihar Assembly polls. "Tell the people that if they (INDIA bloc parties) come to power, even by fluke, every district in Bihar will be teeming with infiltrators," said Shah.
In a veiled attack targeting Gandhi, Shah said that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi works tirelessly for the people, some leaders grow restless unless they enjoy a trip abroad every six months.
