The Congress party has been exposing scam after scam in different constituencies, alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), in collusion with the Election Commission, engaged in vote rigging.
Rahul Gandhi had earlier exposed voter fraud in the Mahadevpura constituency, bringing to light the corrupt nexus between the BJP and the Commission. Similar voter fraud has been reported in the Rajura Assembly constituency in Chandrapur district, alleged senior Congress leader Atul Londhe here today.
'No action even after 11 months of registering an FIR'
Londhe said that an FIR was registered in this regard, but even after 11 months, no action has been taken. He warned that if action is not taken within a month, Congress will seek legal remedy.
Speaking at a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Londhe said that in the five months between the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, the voter count in the Rajura constituency increased by 55,000. Between October 1 and October 15, 2024, as many as 11,667 bogus voters were registered online. After Congress candidate Subhash Dhote lodged a formal complaint, 6,853 of these entries were deleted, and an FIR was filed. However, no further action has followed. The Congress had demanded that the IP addresses, email IDs, and mobile numbers used for these fake registrations be revealed. But to date, this information has not been provided. Londhe alleged that the police and the administration are withholding the information because it would expose the culprits.
Its been a month since @RahulGandhi exposed the Vote Chori. Till today there is no investigation ordered or done by @ECISVEEP other than the laughable press conference done by Gyanesh Kumar.

He further stated that the BJP candidate from Rajura was found in possession of Rs 61 lakh in cash and election material. The Election Commission’s Flying Squad Team seized it, and a case was registered at Gadchandur Police Station. Yet, no action has been taken to date. Despite repeated petitions from Congress candidate Subhash Dhote to the Election Commission, Chandrapur District Collector, and the Superintendent of Police, no movement has been made on the case. “Congress is already fighting this battle in the people’s court, but we will also fight it in the court of law,” Londhe asserted.
At the same event, Chandrapur District Congress Committee President and former MLA of Rajura constituency, Subhash Dhote, also shared detailed information on the vote rigging case.
