An Indian woman on death row in the UAE for the alleged murder of a four-month-old child had been executed on February 15, the Delhi High Court was informed on Monday.
Shahzadi Khan, 33, a native of Goira Mughlai village in Banda district of Uttar Pradesh, was sentenced to death on July 31, 2023.
"It is over. She was executed on February 15. Her last rites will be held on March 5," Additional Solicitor General Chetan Sharma told the court.

The court was hearing a petition filed by Shahzadi's father seeking to know her well-being.
The petitioner's counsel told the court that Shahzadi had called her family on February 14 saying that she would be executed in a day or two and this would be her last call.
The Ministry of External Affairs, meanwhile, stressed that the Indian Embassy in the UAE had provided all possible legal assistance to Shahzadi.
"The Embassy provided all possible legal assistance to Shahzadi, including sending mercy petitions and pardon requests to the Government of the UAE. The UAE authorities intimated to the Embassy on February 28, 2025 that the sentence of Shahzadi has been carried out in accordance with local laws. The family of Shahzadi has been informed of the matter," it said.
'Justice denied'
Shahzadi's father Shabbir Khan alleged that his daughter was denied justice and that the Indian government did not extend any support to the family.
