Delhi assembly elections are close at hand and around 1.56 crore voters are preparing to cast their ballots on February 5.

These include 83.76 lakh men, 72.36 lakh women and 1,267 third-gender voters. Voting will be held across 13,766 polling booths.
How to check your name on voter list?
In order to find your name in the voter list, follow these steps:
- Go to Election Commission website https://www.eci.gov.in/
- Select Voter Services tab
- Search voter details by entering EPIC number

Those who don't know have their voter ID, can follow these steps:
- Go to the Voters’ Service Portal https://voters.eci.gov.in/
- Enter name, date of birth, gender, name of father or husband and state
- Select Search tab and copy your EPIC number
- Then go to the ECI website as mentioned above
How to cast vote?
- Carry a valid ID card issued by the government. These can be the EPIC voter ID, Aadhaar or any other documents listed by the ECI.
- Submit ID card to the polling official for verification
- Get the left index finger marked by indelible ink
- Provide signature to cross the name off the electonal roll
- Proceed to cast vote on the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM).
- Press the blue button next to your preferred political candidate. Once a beep confirms your choice, a red light will glow next to the candidate's name.
- The VVPAT machine will generate a slip confirming the candidate's name
- In case of complaints regarding any inconsistency, the voter can reach out to the presiding officer
Valid documents for voting
There are 13 valid photo IDs that can be used to cast vote.
- Voter ID
- Aadhaar card
- PAN card
- Driving licence
- Passport
- MNREGA job card
- Pension document
- Government Service ID
- Bank or post office passbook
- Divyang Unique ID card
- Government issued health insurance smart card
- MP or MLA official ID card
- Smart card issued by RGI under NPR
The counting of votes will be carried out on February 8.
