As the final days of the Delhi elections approach, AAP is focusing on key constituencies like Kalkaji and Chhatarpur. The party leader Arvind Kejriwal warned the public of the BJP, purportedly, snatching them of “free” services provided by the AAP.

At a rally in Chhatarpur on Monday, Kejriwal said, “Kamal ka button dabaoge, bijli gaayab ho jayegi (Press the lotus button, and the electricity will be gone),” further claiming that there is no uncut power supply in any of the “20 BJP-ruled states”.

Adding that Delhi offers the cheapest power in the country where “200 units are free and 400 units cost only Rs 800”, Kejriwal alleged that, in contrast, the electricity bills in BJP-led Haryana can reach around Rs 5,000 per household.

Pointing to his party’s major schemes—free DTC services for women, “improved government schools”, ‘mohalla’ clinics and free water and electricity supply, the AAP leader remarked that “if BJP comes to power, all these benefits will be scrapped”.

Like BJP and Congress’ schemes of offering financial aid to women in the capital city, AAP also aims to grant “an amount worth Rs 2100 to eligible women voters”.

He accused the BJP of wanting to drive the poor out of Delhi and indirectly attacked Adani’s Dharavi Redevelopment Project alleging that the Modi-led party will hand over the land of the poor to “that one man”.

Delhi’s former CM also promised to grant ration cards to the needy and provide better employment opportunities for the underprivileged youth.

While “AAP stands for the poor and middle class,” Kejriwal said that BJP “is a party of the rich”.

Whereas in a tough fight to AAP, Amit Shah took over the command of BJP's campaign—targeting Dwarka, Jangpura and Bijwasan constituencies.

During the Jangpura campaigning, Shah charged at AAP saying “that the party has been making excuses for 10 years”. “Babua-jaisa munh banakar press conference mein aana, jhagda karna—yahi inki fitrat hai (Showing up at press conferences with a baby face, picking up fights—that’s their nature),” Shah added.

Delhi’s current chief minister Atishi will contest the upcoming election from the Kalkaji constituency against BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri. While Brahm Singh Tanwar will fight for the Chhatarpur seat. Delhi elections are set to be held on February 5 with results to be announced by February 8.
