Delhi accident: Nidhi asked Anjali for money, they fought at party, claims victim's friend

Says the altercation was physical

In another significant revelation, a friend of Anjali Singh, who was killed in the early hours of the New Year after her scooter was hit by the car which dragged her for 12 kilometres from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala in Delhi, claimed that Anjali and her friend Nidhi fought on the night of the former's death.

Nidhi was riding pillion on her scooter at the time of the accident and fled the spot after the incident because she was "scared".

According to news agency ANI, Naveen, a friend of Anjali, said the deceased and Nidhi were partying at the hotel along with a few other friends. "Some other friends were also there. A little later, they (Anjali and Nidhi) started quarreling. Nidhi asked for her money, Anjali asked for her keys. They then had a physical altercation."

“We separated them. I told Anjali to calm down. Nidhi went downstairs and created a scene. The hotel staff told us about it. Anjali went downstairs to calm her down. They had a quarrel downstairs. By the time we went there, they had left on a scooty,” he said.

The Delhi Police had said Nidhi has been called to join the investigation.
