NIUA to organise photo contest on clean towns for students

Age limit for participation is 25

The National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) will organise a photo-story competition on urban sanitation for the youth to raise awareness about the importance of sanitation for urban development.

Photo-stories are invited from students of Classes IX to XII and from those pursuing graduation or post-graduation in any stream (with the age limit 25) on three themes—sanitation and climate change, innovative practices for achieving circular economy in sanitation, and inclusive sanitation.

Participants can submit up to five photographs along with an abstract (not exceeding 100 words) either focusing on the impacts of sanitation practices on climate change, innovative practices for achieving circular economy in sanitation or gender sensitive and inclusive sanitation by individuals, communities or city authorities.

The competition is organised by the NIUA's Sanitation Capacity Building Platform with the support of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The winning entries will be shortlisted on the basis of content, composition and technique used.
