A law student became the centre of attraction during an anti-CAA demonstration held by the Congress party in Kozhikode, Kerala. Manu Arjun, district secretary of Kerala Students Union (KSU), impressed everybody with his 'Azadi' slogans, prompting senior party leader Shashi Tharoor to call him 'Kerala's Kanhaiya Kumar'.
A final year student at Kozhikode Law College, Manu said he was inspired by Kanhaiya Kumar's azadi slogans, which has become a sort of a rallying cry for the youth protesting against the amended Citizenship Act across the country.
Manu was thrilled when senior leaders like Tharoor and DCC president T. Siddique chanted the slogans along with him. The videos of the protest event have, since then, gone viral.
