A self-professed RSS sympathiser working in the UAE lost his job on Wednesday after he came out with a video in which he threatened to kill Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

In a video that went viral on Tuesday, Krishnakumaran Nair was heard saying he had decided to return to India from the Gulf to kill Vijayan. He also made some casteist remarks against the chief minister. Nair hurled expletives at the chief minister, his family and some of his ministerial colleagues.

Later, he posted another video, apologising to Vijayan, his family, Kerala Electricity Minister M.M. Mani and the Keralite community, saying his remarks in the earlier video were made in an inebriated state. Nair, who is in his late 50s, is seen in the second clip appealing to the chief minister with folded hands to forgive him, considering his age.

In a Facebook post that accompanied the video in which he apologised to the chief minister, Nair said he was approached by two NRIs who made him understand about the mistake that he committed.

However, in another Facebook post later on Wednesday, in which he announced that he lost his job after he made the death threat against the chief minister, Nair said he did not reveal the fact that he is an RSS supporter to the two NRIs who visited him as he was afraid of them. He clarified that the duo, who he called 'comrades', behaved gently with him taking into consideration his age. The video (Malayalam) of Nair claiming he lost his job has been embedded.

He also expressed willingness to accept any punishment that the law prescribes for his crime. He further said in the Facebook post that although he tried to reach out to many BJP workers, no one came to his aid.

A senior HR manager at Abu Dhabi-based Target Engineering Construction company confirmed to Gulf News that Nair has been terminated from his job.
