Days after a pre-poll survey indicated a "photo-finish" in the Karnataka Assembly elections, with the ruling Congress and the opposition BJP neck-and-neck, another pollster on Monday predicted an absolute and clear majority for the ruling party.

C fore, in its latest survey, foretold 118 to 128 sets for the Congress party in the 224 member house. As per the survey, the BJP will get 63 to 73 seats while JD(S) will come third with 29 to 36 seats.

The survey was carried out in 61 of the 224 assembly segments and a total of 6,247 voters were interviewed. C fore said the survey had a margin of error of 2 percentage and 95 per cent confidence level.
