The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct re-examination for class XII economics and class X maths . Both economics and maths paper had been leaked and to maintain the sanctity of board exams, CBSE has decided to conduct re- exams for these papers.

"Board has taken cognizance of certain happenings in the conduct of certain examinations as are being reported. With the view to uphold sanctity of board examinations and in the interest of fairness to students, the board has decided to re-conduct examinations in the following subjects", said CBSE in a notification.

The board further said dates for fresh examination will be updated in a week's time.

The matter of the economics paper leak came to light after Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia received the “leaked” paper just a few minutes before the exam began. Sisodia immediately called up CBSE head and the education secretary, following which they checked the paper and found out that it matched with the Set-II of Accounts paper

The class X maths paper was apparently leaked on Tuesday night. According to reports, the leaked question paper matched the original paper today and hence, the board has decided to re-conduct the examination.

The board however has not clarified whether it has ordered an investigation. In the case of accountancy paper leak, CBSE had ordered an investigation.
