'Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra' box office Day 5 collection: Mollywood fantasy click crosses ₹25 Crore mark as Onam fast approaches!

Dominic Arun's 'Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra' has achieved a strong total of ₹25.23 crore net across India in its first five days

Kalyani Priyadarshan-Naslen starrer Malayalam fantasy action flick 'Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra' earned around ₹0.83 crore domestically till the afternoon on its fifth day across languages, available reports showed. The total collection of Mollywood's most successful Onam release this season now stands at ₹25.23 crore.

Directed by Dominic Arun, 'Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra' opened on its first Thursday with a net collection of ₹2.7 crore, entirely from the Malayalam version. On Friday (Day 2), collections rose to ₹4 crore, with ₹3.65 crore coming from Malayalam and ₹0.35 crore from Telugu.

When the weekend arrived, the movie's collection witnessed a significant jump by earning ₹7.6 crore, with the Malayalam version making ₹5.8 crore, followed by ₹1.2 crore from Telugu and ₹0.6 crore from Tamil. The upward trend continued on Sunday (Day 4), when the film posted its highest single-day earnings of ₹10.1 crore. Malayalam contributed ₹7.5 crore, while the Tamil dubbed version managed ₹1 crore, and Telugu reportedly got over ₹1.6 crore, which, as per Sacnilk, is "rough data".

However, Monday, despite the Onam vacations having started across Kerala's educational institutions, saw a collection of ₹0.83 crore, Sacnilk showed. The movie is well ahead of Fahadh Faasil's 'Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira' and Mohanlal's 'Hridayapoorvam', the two other Malayalam releases this Onam season. As per the data available with Sacnilk, 'Hridayapoorvam' earned ₹3.25 crore on its opening day (Thursday) and ₹2.5 crore on its second day (Friday). The collection saw a minor increase on Saturday, reaching ₹2.85 crore, before dropping to ₹1.08 crore on Sunday.
