Prime Video has launched the trailer for the Tamannaah Bhatia-Diana Penty comedy series Do You Wanna Partner, backed by Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment.

The show has Bhatia and Penty playing best friends who opt to become entrepreneurs looking to strike gold in the beverage startup arena — beer, to be more specific — after they tire of working for sexist, manipulative men who don't value their contributions. So what do they do? They become their own bossses. The footage makes it evident the show is aimed at mature audiences, much like Tamannaah's last Prime Video series, Jee Karda.

Directed by Archit Kumar and Collin D'Cunha, the series created by Mithun Gongopadhyay and Nishant Nayak has Johar as a producer with Adar Poonawalla and Apoorva Mehta, while Kumar and Archit are involved as executive producers. The writers include Nandini Gupta, Aarsh Vora and Mithun Gongopadhyay.

Aside from Bhatia and Penty, the series features Jaaved Jaafery, Nakuul Mehta, Neeraj Kabi, Shweta Tiwari, Sufi Motiwala and Rannvijay Singha in the cast. The show will premiere on the platform on September 12.

In a recent statement to Variety, Johar said, Do You Wanna Partner is "audacious, vibrant and unapologetically fun – a story that captures the grit, heart, and hustle of a new generation of entrepreneurs, especially women making their mark in unconventional industries. It’s quirky, emotional, and rooted in the Indian spirit of jugaad [resourceful innovation].”

“What sets it apart is not just its humour and vibrancy, but the way it celebrates ambition and female friendship with honesty and heart. Tamannaah and Diana light up the screen with their electric chemistry,” added Somen Mishra.

Tamannaah Bhatia was last seen in the Hindi film Sikandar ka Muqaddar and the Telugu film Odela 2 in lead roles. She appeared in a special song 'Nasha' in the Ajay Devgn-starrer The Raid 2. Diana Penty's last Hindi-language outings were Chhaava and Detective Sherdil.
