Andaz Apna Apna re-release

The reports of Rajkumar Santoshi's cult comedy classic Andaz Apna Apna gearing up for a re-release in a 4K remastered form have been doing the rounds for a while.

The makers have finally confirmed that the release of the Salman Khan-Aamir Khan starrer is slated for April 25, 31 years after its original release in 1994.

The Instagram page of the film's producer Vinay Kumar Sinha's production house Vinay Pictures shared the update. “Get ready to relive the madness. Andaz Apna Apna Re-releasing in cinemas on 25th April 2025! Experience the cult classic on the big screen! Restored & Remastered in 4K & Dolby 5.1 Trailer out soon!” they posted.

Also starring Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor in lead roles, the film was commercially unsuccessful at the time of its release but over the years has gained a cult following. Interestingly, it was also the last film in which Salman and Aamir starred together.

A comedy of errors, the film centres on two gold diggers, played by Salman and Aamir, and their attempts to woo an heiress in the hope of becoming wealthy. However, through a few twists and turns, they realise that a switching of identities has occurred, resulting in an amusing romantic comedy and many complications.

Recently, another Salman Khan classic, Karan Arjun, co-starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan, and directed by Rakesh Roshan, was restored in 4K and re-released in theatres on 22 November 2024.
