Madhuri Dixit's mother Snehalata Dixit passes away at 91

Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit's mother Snehalata Dixist passed away on Sunday at the age of 91 in Mumbai. Her cremation will reportedly take place at the Worli crematorium at 3 pm.

"Our beloved Aai, Snehalata Dixit, passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by her loved ones," read a joint statement by Madhuri Dixit and her husband Shriram Nene.

Madhuri always used to address her mother as 'aai' and posts pictures with her in the social media.

A heartfelt note was penned by Madhuri during her mother's birthday last year.

"Happy Birthday, Aai! They say a mother is a daughter's bestfriend. They couldn't be any more right. From everything that you've done for me, the lessons that you've taught have been the biggest gift for me from you. I wish you only good health and happiness," read the post.

On Mothers Day, Madhuri has posted her picture with her mother and two sisters.
