Sheezan Khan, who is currently in police custody in relation to the Tunisha Sharma death case, told Waliv police that she had attempted suicide after they broke up. “Tunisha had recently tried to commit suicide a few days before her death, but at that time I saved her and told Tunisha’s mother to take special care of her,” police sources quoted Khan as saying.
Sheezan said he ended his relationship with Tunisha after details and repercussions from the Shraddha Walkar case started emerging. Walkar was brutally killed by her paramour Aftaab Poonawala. Sheezan told Tunisha that belonging to different communities and having a considerable age gap stands in their way. Tunisha was 21, Sheezan is 28.

"Despite being involved with another woman, he continued a relationship with Tunisha. He used her for three-four months. I just want to say that Sheezan should be punished, he should not be spared. I have lost my child," Vanita, Tunisha's mother has said in a video message. Sheezan, who ended his relationship with Tunisha 15 days before her death has been arrested for abetment to suicide after Tunisha's mother complained. It has been suspected that the break-up pushed Tunisha to the edge.
