Actress Tanushree Dutta has announced her comeback to showbiz. In a long Instagram post, she shared that she chose a Bollywood comeback over an IT job in the US.

In 2018, Tanushree accused Nana Patekar of harassing her on the sets of 2008 film Horn Ok Pleassss. She alleged that Nana touched her inappropriately during the filming of a song sequence, despite her making it clear she wasn’t comfortable. Her accusations, in a way, triggered the #MeToo movement in India. The actress moved to the US after that and took a break from the film industry.

She revealed that even though she lost her way a little bit due to some "very, very bad human beings and the trouble they caused" her, she wants to give her acting career and her creative side another chance. Tanushree added, “There are powerful Industry bigwigs who are giving me silent support in the background as they know the truth and are my well wishers.”

In the long note, she said she has been receiving some offers from Bollywood, and that she is also in touch with projects in south Indian film industries.

Seh write: “Since I'm an artist at heart who just happened to lose my way away from my craft due to some very very bad human beings and the trouble they caused me, i decided to not be hasty in changing my profession and re-consider what options I have in Bollywood. I have a lot of goodwill in Bollywood and Mumbai so I came back to India and will stay here for sometime and will work on some interesting projects.”

The actress concluded the long post by saying that she is feeling good and looking fabulous, and that she has lost 15kg.
