Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut, who has often spoken up against the nepotism and favouritism in the industry and the struggles faced by the 'outsiders', in a video statement, claimed that Bollywood “mafia” had ganged up against Sushant Singh Rajput and had imposed an unwritten ban on him.

She claimed that the people in the industry did not take his name while imposing this unwritten ban but may have described his person. Further, she quoted director Abhishek Kapoor who, while talking about how the industry treated the late actor, said it was a "systematic dismantling of a fragile mind."

She also accused certain media houses of writing disparaging news reports about Sushant and claimed that these journalists are in cahoots with the big names in the industry. She claimed that Sushant was mentally and emotionally lynched by these journalists.

She also claimed that these journalists never write anything against the sons and daughters of powerful people in the industry.

Earlier, in a statement, the Queen actor said Javed Akhtar had once called her to his house and told her that Rakesh Roshan and his family are powerful people and told her to aplogise to them. "Once Javed Akhtar had called me to his house and told me that Rakesh Roshan and his family are very big people. If you don't apologise to them, you will have nowhere to go. They will put you in jail, and eventually, the only path would be that of destruction... you will commit suicide,” the actor said.

"Why did he think if I don't apologise to Hrithik Roshan, I would have to commit suicide? He shouted and yelled at me," the actor asked.

She wanted to know if there were people who were putting such thoughts in Sushant Singh Rajput's mind. "Were there people putting such thoughts into his mind? I have no idea, but obviously, he was in a similar situation," she said and pointed out that in his interviews Rajput has often spoke up against nepotism.
