Telugu actress Anushka Shetty is set to tie the knot with filmmaker Prakash Kovelamudi, according to reports. The two have reportedly been seeing each other for a while, and might tie the knot later this year, Hindustan Times reported.
Known for some of her powerful roles, Anushka gained national attention with her role in the Baahubali films. She was previously linked with actor Prabhas, her Baahubali co-star. Son of veteran director K. Raghavendra Rao, Prakash is best known as director of Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao-starrer Judgementall Hai Kya. He was previously married to Bollywood write Kanika Dhillon. The film, directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, had kicked up a row due to its previous title Mental Hai Kya. Members of the Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) had written a letter to the CBFC seeking a change in the title of Mental Hai Kya stating they find it derogatory and demeaning to the mentally ill people. The title was then changed to Judgementall Hai Kya.
Though rumours about Anushka and Prakash's wedding have been doing the rounds, there has been no confirmation from either side.
On the work front, Anushka was last seen in Chiranjeevi-starrer period drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. She will next be seen in Telugu film Nishabdam, opposite actor Madhavan. The film that will also release in English, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi is a highly-anticipated one.
Directed by Hemant Madhukar, the film also features Anjali, Shalini Pandey, Subbaraju and Srinivasa Avasarala. She plays a deaf and mute character in the film that is expected to release on February 20.
