Popular Mollywood actor Unni Mukundan has said he flew kites with Prime Minister Narendra Modi when the actor was a child.
According to media reports, in an interview to a magazine, Mukundan, who grew up in Gujarat's Ahmedabad, said he flew kites with Modi when the former was studying eighth standard.
He said it was on the occasion of Makar Sankranti and Modi had come to participate in the kite flying competition with children. Modi had spent a considerable amount of time flying kits with the kids that day, he added.

The actor said Modi came to the venue in a black Scorpio and added that he saw Modi in several other occasions, and always Modi was spotted in a black Scorpio. Mukundan said he felt that Modi used to have a special affinity for that vehicle.
The actor said Modi used to find time to be with people. He further said he felt Modi had a special talent for interacting with people and attracting them to himself.
Mukundan said Modi influenced several people in his area to venture into politics.
On the professional front, Mukundan was last seen in the period action film Mamangam, directed by M. Padmakumar, also starring Mammootty. The actor will be next seen in Meppadiyan, which is touted to be a crime thriller.
