Singer Ellie Goulding tied the knot with fiance Caspar Jopling on Saturday in a lavish wedding ceremony at the gothic York Minster Cathedral in Yorkshire, England.
The 32-year-old singer-songwriter wore a white custom high-neck, long-sleeved Chloe gown. She pulled up in a flower-adorned blue Volkswagen minivan to cheers with her long veil over her face.
According to reports, Goulding's gown, designed by Natacha Ramsay-Lévi, was made of silk double crêpe and hand embroidered and embellished with white glass beads. The dress took more than 640 hours to make. Jopling, meanwhile, wore a black dress suit with a navy tie.
Goulding and longtime boyfriend Jopling, a New York-based art dealer, were engaged in August last year, formally announcing it in The Times.
The announcement read: 'Mr C.W.F. Jopling and Miss E.J. Goulding. The engagement is announced between Caspar, son of The Hon Nicholas Jopling of Yorkshire and Mrs Jayne Warde-Aldam of Yorkshire, and Elena, daughter of Mr Arthur Goulding of Hertfordshire and Mrs Tracey Sumner of West Midlands.'
They had been dating since March 2017.
Celebrities including Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Sienna Miller, James Blunt, Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson and her two daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie among others were present at the wedding ceremony.
The wedding reception will be at Castle Howard, where a selection of star performers are expected to provide entertainment for Goulding and Jopling's special day. Castle Howard is one of Britain's most iconic stately homes and gardens.
