In 2008, Robinson was hired as an assistant to De Niro. She was the vice-president of production and finance at the company when she left Canal Productions in April. According to the complaint, the company is suing her for "breaching her fiduciary duties, violation of the faithless service doctrine and conversion," reports NBC News.
According to a report on Variety, she is accused of wasting “astronomical amounts of time” binge-watching Netflix, which included 55 episodes of the popular show Friends. She reportedly watched 10 episodes of Schitt’s Creek and 20 episodes of Arrested Development during a four-day period.
According to the lawsuit, “Watching shows on Netflix was not in any way part of or related to the duties and responsibilities of Robinson’s employment and, on information and belief, was done for her personal entertainment, amusement and pleasure at times when she was being paid to work,” reports Variety.
The lawsuit said her position required "Mr. De Niro to place full faith, trust and confidence in her," but she stands accused of hundreds of thousands of dollars of the company for personal expenses. The company also claimed that she rarely came to office.
