The special episode of Man vs Wild on Discovery channel, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be sharing screen with adventurer and celebrity host Bear Grylls, will be aired on August 12.

The episode featuring Modi and Grylls will be aired in as many as 180 countries across the world. In India, the episode can be watched on Discovery channel at 9 pm on August 12.

A new exclusive sneak peek into the episode, released by Discovery Channel IN on Friday with the date of airing, has the prime minister talking to Grylls in Hindi.

When he is told that it is dangerous to be out there in the nature, the prime minister says there is danger only if you are in conflict with the nature. The prime minister also shares his experience of living in the Himalayas when he was young and says it was a special experience. He claims that the experiences he had then give him courage even now.

Grylls is seen helping Modi make a spear with a stick and a knife. The episode was shot in the Jim Corbett National Park.

The two then discuss steps that can be taken to make India cleaner. Modi says personal hygiene is in the nature of Indians, but they need to develop the habit of social hygiene.

A few days ago, Grylls had taken to Twitter to say the experience he had with PM Modi and the things the latter shared were "mind-blowing".

Earlier, announcing his decision to be part of the show, Modi had said, "For years, I have lived among nature, in the mountains and the forests. These years have a lasting impact on my life. So when I was asked about a special programme focussing on life beyond politics and that too in the midst of nature I was both intrigued and inclined to take part in it."

"For me, this show presents a great opportunity to showcase to the world India's rich environmental heritage and stress on the importance of environment conservation and living in harmony with nature. It was a great experience spending time in the jungle once again, this time with Bear, who is blessed with indefatigable energy and quest to experience nature at its purest," he said in a statement.
