South Indian actress Bhavana is synonymous with boldness, beauty and talent. Recently, the actress was spotted in an interview hosted by actress Priyamani. In the first interview after her marriage, she spoke about her acting debut, falling in love with Kannada actor Naveen and her bonding with close friends.

While Priyamani described Bhavana as bold, very beautiful and talented, Bhavana said she was actually very unpredictable, moody, emotional, sometimes silly and stupid, but sometimes very practical and sensible.

Excerpts from the interview:

On female friends

“Friends are definitely a big part of my life,” said the actress. "Shilpa Bala, who is an anchor, is a very close friend of mine. Similarly, I started my relationship with Remya Nambeesan during the days she used to anchor shows; I had once gone as a guest. Now, Remya's family is like my own family. Then there are a lot of friends like Mridula, Sayanora, Shafna, Shritha, Samyuktha Varma, Manju Warrier, Geethu Mohandas and Poornima Indrajith,” she said.

On her relationship with Naveen

Bhavana said she first met Naveen on the sets of her third Kannada movie Romeo. "Initially we started talking only professional things. Naveen used to communicate directly to me then via managers, as I was not very fluent in Kannada. After some time we became good friends and on days when the shooting would finish early, Naveen, my mother and myself would dine out together. Over the years, the friendship paved way for love and that's how we got united".

When Priyamani inquired about the approval from her family, Bhavana said as her mother knew Naveen she was okay and was very happy on choosing a good guy like him. Even though her father was a bit hesitant that he was a non-Malayali, it was my mother who told him that he would bond with their family so well and that his apprehension would go once he met him.

On movies

Bhavana says that it has almost been a year since her last Malayalam movie was released, but she said she did not miss the industry. She  also clarified that she is always open to taking up good roles and was never asked to stop her career after marriage. When asked about the initial days of her career, Bhavana said she had actually thought of quitting films at one point of time. Even though she was very busy in the first two years of her career, the projects she got often labelled her as a second heroine and hence wanted to quit. However, it was then that a promising character in Daivanamathil came her way and then she went on to Tamil industry, and got an array of movies starting from Chitiram Pesuthedi.

On fitness

Bhavana says she is a hard-core fitness freak and loves working out for a minimum of four to five days a week. But at the same time, she also confessed that she often craved for junk food. She claimed she was 'metabolically blessed', hence what she ate never showed on her body.
