Ranveer Singh who shared the teaser of his upcoming film Gully Boy has left everyone impressed with his rapping skills. He had shared posters of the film on social media recently. The teaser of the Zoya Akhtar directorial has been receiving compliments from fans and other actors too. Deepika Padukone seemed to be floored by husband Ranveer's performance. Commenting on the video, she wrote: “You are unstoppable.” In another comment, she wrote: “I love you and I am so proud of you.”
Gully Boy is said to be inspired from the lives of Mumbai-based street rappers Divine and Naezy. Produced by Excel Entertainment, Gully Boy is scheduled to release on February 14. The movie will also see Ranveer and Alia Bhatt share screen space for the first time. The video also shows glimpses of Kalki Koechlin who plays a pivotal role in the film.
The video which was also a trailer announcement, begins with beatbox sounds and shows Ranveer rapping in the streets of Mumbai. Alia Bhatt seems to be an intense, contemplative mode, much like the look from the posters.
The trailer will release on January 9. And Ranveer ends the video by saying: Apna time aayega.
