On Twitter, actress Radhika Apte was trolled relentlessly for her perceived omnipresence on Netflix; she recently starred in three Netflix India projects—Sacred Games, Lust Stories and Ghoul.
"I was very happy. I think it is a great compliment because it is such a great platform. Who would not like to be a part of the projects from Netflix", Apte told PTI, in response.
The 32-year-old actress further added, "With Netflix, what happens is that they stress on the quality because it is a global platform. They will give you the freedom to choose topics, projects and creative control, but they are very particular about the quality."
In response to the memes circulating on social media, Radhika Apte and director Vikramaditya Motwane collaborated with Netflix to create a spoof video titled Omnipresence. The short clip is shown to be a behind-the-scenes view of an upcoming show titled Omnipresent that will have Radhika playing every role. The video ends with Netflix calling itself 'Radflix'.
The actress shared the video on Instagram on Tuesday. Netflix shared the video on Twitter with the caption, "Whatever the role, Radhika apt hai."
Radhika Apte first featured in Netflix's anthology Lust Stories, in a segment directed by Anurag Kashyap. Apte later appeared in the first season of Sacred Games, a show that has received impressive ratings. She currently stars in the web series Ghoul, in which she plays the role of a trainee soldier at the National Protection Squad's academy.
Radhika Apte will next be seen in projects such as Gauravv K. Chawla's Baazaar, an Indian-American fantasy thriller The Ashram, Tamil film Ula and mystery thriller Andhadhun.
