The title track of Dhadak was released on Wednesday, amid bouquets and brickbats for the trailer released a month earlier. The track depicts the blooming love between Mathur (Ishaan Khatter) and Parthavi (Janhvi Kapoor), with hints of barely veiled dangers lurking nearby. The lyrics to the Dhadak track were done by Amitabh Bhattacharya, while it was sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Ajay Gogavale.

The over-three-minute trailer particularly stands out for its use of colourful motifs—be it Ishaan's printed shirts or kurtas, Janhvi's vibrant salwar-kameez, ethnic dupattas—all in the backdrop of an enchanting Rajasthan. Talking about Dhadak, director Shashank told PTI, “The basic premise is of differences in caste, honour killing and what it means to survive in that world and I feel that is the conflict that is alive all across India, you will hear stories like that."
Dhadak, an adaptation of acclaimed Marathi film Sairaat, will hit the screens on July 20. Though an adaptation of the Marathi film, Shashank has brought in changes he said.
