India seeks Malaysia's support in fight against terror

On the sideline of Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition, Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth interacted with defence minister of Malaysia

Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth reiterated India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism during a meeting with Defence Minister of Malaysia YAB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin on the sidelines of the ongoing Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) 2025. Seth sought the support of Malaysia in the fight against terror.

Malaysia reaffirmed its commitment to resolving all issues bilaterally.

The two leaders also discussed ways to further enhance defence cooperation under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Seth inaugurated the India pavilion, which showcases indigenous technologies, including BrahMos and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited-made Dornier aircraft, at the event.

Major Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs) and private companies are part of the India pavilion. The event underscores India’s strategic push for self-reliance in defence, the defence ministry said in a release.

India and Malaysia have a robust and multifaceted relationship which has expanded into several strategic areas, including defence and security, under the vision of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

LIMA, established in 1991 and held biennially, is regarded as one of the largest and most significant maritime and aerospace exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region.
