At a time when global geopolitical tensions are on the rise, the countries are enhancing maritime cooperation and undertaking joint exercises, President Droupadi Murmu said on Monday.
The President was addressing the officer trainees of the Indian Naval Material Management Service and Indian Naval Armament Service who called on her at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
President Murmu pointed out that with India acquiring a bigger role on the global stage, officers of the Naval Material Management Service and Naval Armament Service will play a major role in supporting the Indian Navy through efficient logistics management by leveraging advanced technologies.
Reiterating the need to constantly upskill, the President urged them to continuously update their knowledge about the latest technological developments happening around the globe.
She urged them to adopt an innovative approach to make inventory management and service delivery system seamless and effective.
Further, she asked the officers to dedicate themselves to the service of the nation and the Indian Navy.
President Murmu expressed confidence that the officers would contribute towards nation-building by providing the best services to the Indian Navy.
