Amid the uncertainty over the relaunch of grounded full-service airline Jet Airways, several of the company's employees, including senior management executives, pilots, and cabin crew have quit the company.

According to a CNBC-TV18 report, vice president of in-flight service of the airline has been sent on leave, while the pay of CEO Sanjiv Kapoor and the CFO Vipula Gunatilleka has been reduced. According to media reports, some staff members of the airliners are on leave without pay while those whose salaries were cut resigned from the company.

Many of the cabin crew and pilots have reportedly quit and joined other airliners.

In May, aviation regulator DGCA had granted Jet Airways the Air Operator Certificate (AOC), allowing the airline to resume commercial flight operations. The airliner was grounded in 2019 owing to financial difficulties.

The Jalan-Kalrock Consortium is currently the promoters of Jet Airways. The airline in its old avatar was owned by Naresh Goyal and had operated its last flight on April 17, 2019. The current crisis of the airliner is due to the stand-off between Jalan-Kalrock consortium and the banks over the ownership transfer of Jet Airways. Both sides have moved court, seeking action in this regard.
