Mobility propels progress and logistics is the driver playing a crucial part in the balanced and sustainable economic development of a nation. One such global logistics enterprise is Pridel Private Limited, established in 1994 in the city of Moradabad by Mr Pradyumna Gupta, Founder and Chairman of the company, which is recognized among the top 3 customs house brokers in North India since 2005. Committed to customer satisfaction, Pridel offers services across land, air and sea through state-of-the-art, technology-driven logistics solutions on the strength of research and development. Pridel aims to cross Rs 1000 crores in revenue by 2025.
Journey into Logistics
Mr. Pradyumna epitomizes the power of perseverance, who led by example. His amazing journey started as an executive with an export company in the city of brass, Moradabad, to build Pridel that came to be recognized as one of the pioneers in the logistics industry. From a small team of 4 people, the company grew into one of the finest hand-picked team of 350 members offering integrated logistics solutions across the globe.
During his ten-year tenure at the export house, Mr. Pradyumna realized the vast gap in the logistics management and the potential to grow as an industry in the coming years. He was sure of India’s growth and that logistics would be the most important aspect of the same. He promptly quit his job to establish Global Cargo Forwarders as a customs house brokerage company in 1994. The founder of Pridel recalls, “I was lucky to be at the right place at the right time. Seeing the gap in logistics, the idea of building a logistics company arose in my mind, and I grabbed the opportunity to help smoothen the process,” adding “No matter which industry is taking the lead, logistics would be required for everyone, hence the scalability of the industry made me attracted towards it.” Together with his dedicated team, Mr Pradyumna, kept working towards achieving their shared vision with the guiding principle – Be kind and ethical to all.
Mentioning that in the last decades, India has witnessed tremendous growth in the logistics industry with several new players, some catering to a single client to those companies with more than 1000 cr revenue, Mr Pradyumna says, “At present, I consider Pridel to be somewhere in the middle of two extremes. We are slowly transitioning from medium to large scale. However, our commitment to keeping the interest of our clients at the centre and our top-most priority remains unchanged through this transition.”

Pridel’s team aims to make the life of their clients easier by offering them end-to-end solutions for logistics powered by technology. The differentiator lies in the culture of keeping the company’s people, vendors and clients at the centre of any strategy they implement.

Pandemic Relief
Pridel recovered fast from the initial hiccups due to lack of clear Covid guidelines, to then stay confident in all its processes and deliveries made easy by the advantage of having their In-House tech solution, which was implemented right before the pandemic. Since the offices were shut, the tech solution played a major role in enabling every team to work on-line and processes to continue seamlessly. Logistics is a labour intensive and so Pridel’s major focus during the pandemic was the well-being of its team, and there were no salary cuts/layoffs. Team Pridel exhibited great unity, dedication and commitment towards its clients. Covid pushed Pridel out of the comfort zone to explore new client acquisition, besides transition from manual work to technology on which the group has already invested 200k USD and revenue growth. Pridel grew by almost 110% from FY20 - FY21.

Mr Pradyumna Gupta’s vision for Pridel is to be amongst the top 5 players of logistics companies in India in the next 5 years. Giving more power to consolidate Pridel’s leadership status in the future are his two sons, Mr Pradyumna Son's Swapnil Gupta and Aaryav Gupta, who are taking the business to the next level by implementing technology, enhancing the customer satisfaction and working towards adding new verticals in logistics.
