Ensuring maximum promotion for indigenous products our collective responsibility Jharkhand CM

Ranchi, May 1 (PTI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday voiced his support for indigenous goods, saying his government was committed to providing a platform for local artisans and entrepreneurs to promote their products.
Addressing the inauguration of a three-day Swadeshi Fair here, he said, "It is our collective responsibility to ensure that products manufactured within the country receive maximum promotion. The state government is continuously working in this direction."
Referring to India's cultural diversity, the chief minister said people belonging to various sections possess distinct qualities and identities. "These very qualities and identities serve as strong pillars of the country," he said.
Soren said the Swadeshi Fair not only provides a powerful platform for local artisans but also serves as a potent medium for preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the region.
"The state government is actively promoting indigenous products through various events. The objective of the programme organised today is to promote the state's art and culture alongside indigenous goods," he said.
"The youth of our state are excelling in diverse fields, including education, culture, and sports. Despite limited resources, our children are bringing glory to the state on every platform. The art and culture of this state hold a distinct identity across the nation and the world," Soren said.
Both Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Soren visited the stalls at the fair, displaying handcrafted textiles, jewellery, home decor and other items, and interacted with the artisans.
The event was also attended by Union Minister of State for Defence and Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, among others.
