Punjab Threats to blow up schools railway track received in Ludhiana nothing suspicious found

Ludhiana, Apr 23 (PTI) Three private schools in Punjab's Ludhiana received bomb threats on Thursday, officials said, adding a threat to blow up railway tracks in the city was also mentioned in the emails.
After thorough searches, nothing suspicious was found, they said.
After receiving information about the threats, police teams and bomb disposal squads were rushed to schools, they added.
The schools were evacuated as a precautionary measure, they said.
The emails also mentioned a threat to blow up railway tracks in the city, following which the railway police carried out checks at the Ludhiana railway station.
Police later said nothing suspicious was found.
The fresh scare comes close on the heels of similar threats in the past few weeks at multiple places in Punjab and Haryana, where such emails later turned out to be hoaxes.
A few days ago, several schools in Chandigarh and Punjab's Barnala had also received bomb threat emails, but nothing suspicious was found.
