School van crashes while avoiding bike in Greater Noida six children receive minor injuries

Noida, Apr 20 (PTI) Six schoolchildren sustained minor injuries after a school van driver lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid a motorcycle and crashed the van into a tree in Greater Noida on Monday, police said.
    The incident occurred within the limits of the Beta-2 police station when the van was transporting students.
    According to police, the driver lost control of the vehicle while attempting to save an oncoming motorcycle, following which the van rammed into a tree in the roadside green belt.
    "The children were taken to a hospital where they were given first aid. They sustained minor injuries and are safe. Their guardians were informed and the children were later handed over to them," a police officer said.
    The driver, identified as Rakesh, was trying to avoid the motorcycle when the accident occurred, police said.
    The damaged vehicle has been removed from the spot and normal traffic movement has been restored, they added.
