Chhatarpur, Apr 19 (PTI) Two men died of suspected suffocation while painting inside an empty water tanker in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district, police said on Sunday, even as their families suspected foul play.

The incident occurred on Saturday evening in the Garhi Malhara police station area, 15 km from the district headquarters.

According to police, the deceased, identified as Gulab Anuragi (22) and Armaan Khan (23), worked as painters at a garage run by Sachin Patel. They fell unconscious while painting inside the tanker on Saturday evening.

Following this, the garage owner took them to a hospital where doctors declared them dead, the police said.
