Jaipur, Jul 10 (PTI) Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is determined to ruin the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS), which was created in the public interest.
In a post on 'X', Gehlot said, "RAHA (Rajasthan Alliance of Hospital Associations), the union of private hospitals of Rajasthan, has announced to stop treatment under Rajasthan Government Health Scheme RGHS from July 15 by giving advertisement in the newspaper. The reason for this is the non-payment of Rs 980 crore to 701 private hospitals by the BJP government for seven months."
He added, "This shows that the management of the BJP government has failed miserably because every month deduction is made from the salary of government employees for RGHS but it is not being paid to the hospitals. The BJP government is hell bent on ruining a great scheme made in public interest."
Gehlot urged the state government to find an immediate solution to the issue, so that lakhs of government employees, pensioners, and their families do not face unnecessary difficulties.
Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra also expressed concern over the matter, saying, "The government should find a concrete solution at the earliest to ensure that lakhs of families do not remain deprived of health services."
He emphasised that the issue was not just about a financial delay but a serious matter concerning the health and safety of the public.
