Jai Ho:

One of Rahman’s foreign collaborations that marked his career is ‘Jai Ho’ from Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire. The song won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture and an Oscar for the Best Original Song making him the first Indian to receive an Oscar. | Twitter

127 Hours:

Rahman’s second collaboration with Danny Boyle was also a hit and received the World Soundtrack Academy Award and Public Choice Award for his score. | Twitter

Warriors of Heaven and Earth:

This was Rahman’s first international movie. It is a Chinese epic about the Silk Route and he made use of Chinese and Indian sounds and created fifteen acoustic tracks. | Twitter

Elizabeth: The Golden Age:

One of Rahman’s first big collaborations happened in 2007 with Scottish composer Craig Amstrong. The film was directed by Shekhar Kapur. | Twitter

Muhammad: The messenger of God:

Rahman composed music for an Iranian film in collaboration with Majid Majidi -- iconic Iranian filmmaker and producer. The film was about the life of Prophet Muhammed and the Indian maestro worked on its music for a year and a half. | Twitter

People Like Us:

ARR collaborated with the American rock singer-songwriter Liz Phair for an American film ‘People Like Us’ which was Alex Kurtzman’s directorial debut. The film had eighteen tracks by Rahman and this was the first time Rahman worked from his home in L.A. | Twitter

Million Dollar Arm:

It was the true story of American sports agent JB Bernstein. ARR made his debut in sports movies with this project. | Twitter
