India's anti-corruption ombudsman sought to acquire 7 BMW 330 Li cars in a tender that recently sparked outrage.
An October 16 Lokpal tender seeking seven BMW 330 Li cars recently sparked backlash online, with netizens accusing the ombudsman of corruption and inefficiency.
The BMW 330 Li starts at Rs 60 lakhs (ex-showroom), with the on-road price often nearing Rs 70 lakhs.
The 330 Li is a part of BMW's 3 Series Long Wheelbase (LWB), said to be the longest and most powerful car in the segment.
The BMW's two-litre, four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo Engine is capable of pushing 258 hp, offering a mileage of 15.39 km/l.
The 3 Series rear-wheel drive car also features an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission.
Individual temperature zones (for the driver, front, and rear passengers), a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and a 14.9-inch curved display are other cool features in the BMW 330 Li.
The BMW 330 Li comes in four colours: Mineral White, Skyscraper Grey, Carbon Black, and Portimao Blue.
