Valentina Gomez, a Republican candidate running for the 31st Congressional District seat in Texas, has kicked up a row through Islamophobic acts and a campaign strategy. Spewing hatred towards the Islamic world, Valentina Gomez burned a copy of the Holy Quran in front of the camera and asked Muslims in the United States to settle down in the Arab world instead.
Valentina Gomez wants Islam to end in Texas — a US state with roughly 1% Muslims. In a now-deleted social media post, the Republican candidate declared that Muslims were raping and killing across Christian nations. It was her mission to "end Islam in Texas" because Christian nations were being taken over by Muslims.
"Muslims are raping and killing on their way to taking over CHRISTIAN nations," she wrote on X. "...help me get to Congress so you never have to bow down to their stupid rock," she further said in the post that is no longer available on the microblogging site.
While burning a copy of the Quran, the Holy book of Muslims, Valentina Gomez said, "Your daughters will be raped and your sons beheaded, unless we stop Islam once and for all." She showed the audacity to end the video by saying, "powered by Jesus Christ."
When her actions were called out, Donald Trump's party colleague put up another post on X claiming that, "I stand by my actions & I will never bend a knee to the book that is responsible for the massacre of October 7th, took the lives of 13 U.S. service members at Abbey Gate, & calls for our assassination. Since you love the Muslims so much, why don’t you open the borders & let the Muslims take over Israel."
During a television interaction, Gomez made more bizarre statements and shared it on social media, saying, "Not a single Muslim has condemned the rape of little girls in Europe by their fellow rapist Muslims. Because that’s what the Quran teaches, to rape & to 'instill terror into the hearts of the disbelievers.' Jesus rose from the dead, can’t say the same about Muhammed."
Her comments were criticised not just by the public but also by her own partymen.
