Leading India to its record seventh Asia Cup title, skipper Rohit Sharma, standing in for Virat Kohli who was rested, gained two spots in the latest ICC ODI batting rankings. Rohit is now at number two, comfortably behind Kohli, who has retained his top ranking.

Rohit scored 317 runs in the Asia Cup, including a century and two half-centuries with a batting average of 105.66.

Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit's opener partner throughout the tournament, is now at number five, after climbing four spots in the rankings. Dhawan scored two centuries and made 342 runs in the tournament. However, Dhawan's inconsistent performance in the England tour prompted selectors to drop him from the squad in the two-match Test series against West Indies. Rohit was also not considered for the Test squad.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah has retained his number one spot in the ODI bowling rankings. Bumrah was the fourth highest wicket taker in the tournament, having scalped eight wickets in four innings. Kuldeep Yadav has also moved up to the third spot in the rankings behind Afghanistan's Rashid Khan.

Rashid Khan, who also topped the ODI all-rounder rankings, displayed a splendid show in the Asia Cup taking 10 wickets in the tournament and scoring 87 runs at an average of 43.50.
