As Indians in UAE brace for an extended holiday in view of the four-day Eid holiday, low-cost airline Air Arabia has offered cheap options for travel to top destinations, including India. This comes as airlines witnessed increased booking as the government announced four days of holiday for Eid Al Adha in June.

Air Arabia officials said besides India, cheap deals are now available for travel to Armenia, Egypt, Oman, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, and more.

To avail of the offer, tickets have to be booked by June 2 with rates starting from Dh129 to Oman while it is Dh149 to Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia one way.

For India, the rates begin at Dh299 which comes to around Rs 6,926 one way. The travel period is from June 1 to September 30, and the offer is valid for 7 more days, according to The Gulf News.

The holiday announcement has triggered a rush of holidaymakers. Safeer Mohammed of Smart Travel told Khaleej Times that they have received a lot of enquiries and bookings. "Most of the travel is gravitating towards visa-free places like CIS countries," he added.

Besides Air Arabia, other airlines, including carriers like flydubai and national carriers such as Emirates and Etihad, release special promotions and discounted fares during major holidays like Eid Al Adha.

General fares to India range from Dh1100, with fares to New Delhi priced at Dh1,146 and to Mumbai at Dh1,184. Fares to Bengaluru are priced at Dh1,787.
