Indian warship, Dornier aircraft to feature at Asia's biggest maritime show LIMA 2025

India will be a major participant at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition being held in Malaysia

Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth will lead an Indian delegation at the 17th edition of Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2025), being held in Langkawi, Malaysia from Tuesday to Saturday. The Indian pavilion at the exhibition will be inaugurated by Seth.

Many defence public sector undertakings (DPSUs), including Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, Bharat Dynamics Limited, BEML, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and Gliders India Limited, and private defence players will be participating in the exhibition. These will engage with their Malaysian counterparts as well as the Malaysian armed forces and the defence ministry.

Indian assets, including multi-purpose Dornier aircraft and Indian Naval Ship (INS) Kavaratti, will also be part of LIMA 2025.

On the sidelines of the event, Seth will also call on Malaysian Minister of Defence Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin as part of the efforts to further consolidate the bilateral defence cooperation and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.

India and Malaysia have a robust and multifaceted relationship which has expanded into several strategic areas, including defence and security.

“Both the countries are committed to work under the vision of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established during the visit of the Prime Minister of Malaysia in 2024,” the defence ministry said in a release.

LIMA, established in 1991 and held biennially, is regarded as one of the largest and most significant maritime and aerospace exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region.
