The BJP on Monday announced its candidate list for the upcoming assembly elections in Kerala.
BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar will contest from Nemom, the constituency from where the saffron party got its first MLA in the state in 2016.
Former Union Minister of State V. Muraleedharan was fielded in Kazhakoottam while Union minister George Kurian will contest from Kanjirappally.
Veteran politician P.C. George was given ticket from his home constituency Poonjar while his son, Shone George, will contest from Pala.
Former BJP state chief K. Surendran has been fielded from Manjeswaram, where he lost by a handful of votes in 2016. Malayalam filmmaker Major Ravi, known for his Mohanlal-starring movies Keerthichakra and Kurukshetra, will contest from Ottappalam.
BJP's senior woman leader Shobha Surendran will contest from Palakkad while former IPS officer R. Sreelekha will compete from Vattiyoorkavu. Former Congress leader Padmaja Venugopal, who joined the BJP ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, will contest from Thrissur.
Other women candidates include R. Reshmi in Kottarakkara, Raji Prasad in Kunnathur, Navya Haridas in Kozhikode North and Kavitha A.S. in Sulthanbathery.
P.K Krishnadas has been fielded in Kattakkada, Gireesh Neyyar in Parassala, Yuvaraj Gokul in Nedumangad, P. Sudheer in Attingal, B.B. Gopakumar in Chathannoor and V. S. Jithin Dev in Karunagappally.
Anoop Antony will contest from Thiruvalla, M.V Gopakumar from Chengannur, Sandeep Vachaspathi from Haripad, K. Ajith from Vaikom and S. Rajendran from Devikulam.
BJP has fielded Santhosh Cherakulam in Irinjalakuda, K.K. Aneesh Kumar in Manalur, K. Balakrishnan from Chelakkara, C. Krishnakumar in Malampuzha, Sanku T. Das in Shornur, V.K. Sajeevan in Kunnamangalam and T. Raneesh in Kozhikode South.
Others include T. Devadas in Elathur and C.P. Satheeshan in Balusseri.
