Gauri Palve, the wife of minister Pankaja Munde’s Personal Assistant Anant Garje, had died by suicide. The death has caused a stir, and a case has been registered against the PA and his family over abetment of suicide, police said.
Gauri’s body was found hanging at her house in the Worli area on Saturday evening, an official said.
Gauri’s father, in a written statement to the police, alleged that his daughter was continuously harassed by her in-laws. He said that her husband, Anant, also used to physically assault her.
The couple had gotten married in February this year, and Palve was a doctor at the dental department at the civic-run KEM hospital.
