Kannada TV actress alleges online sexual harassment, receiving obscene messages, accused arrested

A Kannada-Telugu TV actress filed a complaint after being cyberstalked and sexually harassed for months by a man named Naveen K Mon on Facebook. Police have arrested the accused and are conducting an investigation

A popular TV actress from Bengaluru filed a police complaint after she was subjected to cyberstalking and online sexual harassment for the past three months.

The Annapoorneshwari Nagar police have arrested the accused, who went by NAVEENZ on one of his Facebook accounts.

According to police, Naveen K Mon, a delivery manager at Templeton and Partner in Whitefield, Bengaluru, had been sending the actress obscene messages and videos of his private parts through his Facebook Messenger.

The actress, who is 41, and primarily works in Telugu and Kannada television serials, states the accused first reached out to her via a friend request, which she had declined.

After that, the man proceeded to harass her via the messenger, sending her vulgar content. He also used multiple fake accounts to keep harassing her after his previous ones were blocked by the actress.

On November 1, around 11:30 am, The actress, according to reports, met the accused near Nandan Palace, Nagabhavi, to ask him to stop. However, the accused kept harassing her, refusing to listen.

After the repeated incident, the actress filed a complaint with the police.

Police investigations say that Naveen had been using multiple accounts to contact, harass, and send sexually obscene content to multiple women. Police are also examining the man's electronic devices to see if there are multiple victims.

In another case, also in Bengaluru, a 33-year-old woman was sexually harassed by a man while she was walking her dog in the morning. The man, who is believed to be around 30, approached her from behind, called out 'Madam', exposed himself, and then proceeded to masturbate, according to the complaint by the woman.

Police are investigating and trying to catch the accused.
